My
coworker and I were listening to a Sirius XM channel on his iPhone
while we were on a service call and a song came on that I immediately
took a liking to. It sounded pretty cool but the lyrics that I
was hearing were not the lyrics that were actually in the song.
When we looked up the song title after it was over, I found out
that the song was "Come With Me Now" by a group called "The Kongos".
I thought they were saying "God's with me now" when they were
actually saying "Come with me now". I downloaded the song and
listened to it for a few days while I traveled and the more I listened
to it the more I thought that if I just changed a few of the words it
would be an awesome song about revenge and street justice on the darker
side of society. Here's my take on "Come With Me Now" rewritten
to be "God's With Me Now."
