I just wanted to say I love reading your stories on your website, esp. the 9 second Blazer and the Barbie driving the Vette. These are the best stories, keep updating. -Ryan

Just want to let you know how impressed I am with your POTA site. Its great  -Vince

Just wanted to say thanks for making my kung-fu day, karma-well -JWaller

You sir have one of the best car webpages of all the internet. Your stories are amazing/funny and when you sold the Trans Am... heartbreaking. I am 18 yrs old with little knowledge of cars and my car but reading your site makes me want to learn more. I have read all your stories and just have a questions that you really didn't make clear. Why aren't you a full time police officer? I know you mentioned you were a reserve but you seem like you can handle yourself well enough. As for the constructive criticism I would just like to point out that in your stories you don't have any dates next to them so your devoted readers really don't know when the last update has been made, I really love reading your stories but have trouble knowing how long ago these have happened and when the newest one is out. Thank you for your time sorry for my babbling I will try and make it shorter next time.  Loyal reader,
JGrankowski

I just wanted to say I have been a big fan of the ANSA craft for 20 years, it has inspired me in ways (one of which to get a pilots license), and your site is truly wonderful. It has quenced my thirst for info and photos on this great craft, thank you so much. One thing you have inspired me to do is make an earnest search for the missing footage from Escape from TPOTA. I talked to everyone I could at 20th Century Fox, and finally found that this footage is not in the archives but,,,they did recommend contacting some of the makers of the film. I am currently trying to get in touch with Frank Capra Jr. the associate producer, since the director and Jacobs are both dead. I'm sure its out there, and it will be found!  Thanks again for a great site  -SBlais

I am just in the middle of reading what you wrote to that ricer-boy rob with the Del Sol. In reference to the column he wrote on today's sports cars not being sports cars in the same sense that the Del Sol is because these new ones have too much technology and gauges and what not. For one thing, earlier he had griped about not enough technology in today's muscle cars and for another, I wonder if Robbie has ever heard of the '01 Mustang SVT Cobra R? This is the only "new" Mustang that I actually like, the Bullitt was nice to but the fake ram-air looked stupid. But anyway, the Cobra R didn't come with a stereo, power anything, sunroof or air-conditioning and it only had two seats. It came with a functional wing and body kit that they didn't recommend attaching as it would be easily torn off. The engine in it was the same as the Expedition my mom drives, a 5.4L V8. This car also had the side exiting exhaust pipes and the noise in the cockpit with the pedal floored was enough cause legitimate hearing damage. I forget just how many decibels this was but it was all recorded in Car and Driver magazine in the battle they had between the R (which lost) the Viper GTS-R (which placed second) and the Corvette Z06. These cars are all top of the line sports cars with the minimum of luxuries so really, i concur when you conclude that this Rob guy is a complete moron.  -Luke

Hi there from England!  I just wanted to drop you a quick line to tell you how much I appreciate your amazing site.  I'm 39 now and caught the original POTA back when it was re-released in the early 1970s since which time I was totally hooked and a complete and utter Apes fan. I especially loved the design of the ship, even in it's reduced size in Beneath, Escape and the TV show.  I am a regular visitor to your site and every time I look in I always am astounded by the amount of skill and care you put into it. It never fails to make me want to watch an Apes movie in fact!  I hated hated hated Tim Burton's remake which I considered to be a travesty and to this day cannot understand why on Earth Fox didn't go with a 6th movie to bring the saga full circle. Have you ever seen Paul Dehn's original draft for Battle? It was superb and would have formed a great basis for a final sequel. Now unfortunately there is no prospect of that at all.   Anyway as I say I thought I owed you a word of thanks for your amazing site. Keep up the great work. Kind regards.  -Mike

Your stories and accounts of your early years are amazing!  -CYKLONE JACK

Hey man... i just wanted to say that i spent the last two days reading your site and you sir, are truly a hero... I too have the F-body bug... the problem is i sell fords for a living... I currently own a 1986 IROC-Z t-top car with a ZZ-4 crate engine with a 150 shot of the fun juice... my best time is a 12.78 at 117 MPH... on street tires... and i love to eat stangs for lunch... you have some amazing stories and i am looking forward to reading more... good luck in all you do!  -JFournier

Great website you have! If you're not familiar with him, check out the philosopher Jose Ortega y Gasset, especially a book called "REVOLT OF THE MASSES." -R Van Ingram

I
know you must get this alot, but just have got to say, that your site is the best homepage I have ever stumbled upon. Man, you can write!! I would definitely go see your movie, but I know the stunts could not worthy of the "book". It's so good, it must be fiction ;-) Our personalities are quite similar, like the fact that when it comes to friends, we believe in quality, rather than quantity and stuff like that. I just can't write like that, especially with the confidence you have. -Ron N

Your Icarus site is simply incredible!  Thank you for all the information on this old spaceship! -TomD

Man!  I've been at your site for a week and all I can say is, "WHEN THE HELL ARE YOU GOING TO RIDE OUT TO CALIFORNIA AND PARTY WITH MY BUDS AND ME!?" -RobbyJ

Your OGRE site is the best I have ever come across!  Thank you for all the material you have put up there!  -ScottN

Your SPO site really helped me learn a lot about my car.  No one else would take the time to answer my 'dumb' questions, but you've taken on that job it looks like.   Thanks again, for giving me time, when you probably didn't even know that you were giving me time.  -MikeD

As a retired police officer, I read your "Tour of Duty" site and laughed until I cried.  God, I miss working the beat.  You brought back a lot of memories.  Thank you, sir!  -JohnB

This has got to be the best site on the Internet!  Don't ever stop writing! -PaulZ

ABSOLUTELY the BEST fucking site I have been to in a looooooong time!  Thanks!  -SNelson

Damn, man.  Either it would be really cool to hang out with you or really scary.  Either way, I'd have something to tell my children one day!  Keep up the great work!  -MBryson

Hey!  How come there aren't any naked pictures of you?!   That's what I wanted to see!  -DebT

Funny ass site, thanks for the laughs. - Dnichols

I love the web site man. –Enzo

Thank you for your tribute page! -Winchell Chung

Well, my hat's off to you. Though i may live in Wisconsin, the fact is, the worst sound in the world is a harley. I almost fell out of my chair laughing at your comebacks. Kudos to you, sir for telling it "the way it is". Big image. that's it. Next time i ride my zr7s to work and see a helmet-less super-luxo flxtxp riding sloth, i can just hope i wont fall off laughing at the remarks on your page! i lived in northern wis. where there was 2 hd plants. what a waste. i hate the crap they "build" if you want to call it that. sheep is right. ignorant ego searching people. hey, i've had a concours, nighthawk 700s 2)600 xl honda's a 650 xl honda own a zr7s now, a cb360 when i started driving... and started out on a xr 75 honda. never, had any problems. loved them all. dependable, fun affordable quality. i am ashamed to admit i test drove a buell, just to see if they were "sporty" sick. surprisingly, i did'nt end up with carpal tunnel. what a waste. anyways, congrats for telling the truth on how it really is. take care, guy –Ryan

I'm still laughing my ass off reading your site. Damned, I thought that I was the only jaded with the human race person around, but you've got me beat! Dude, you got to back off of us Mustang owners - at least we're not as bad as the VTEC crowd. I'll give you your due about the Harley crowd (even though I own an '83 Virago and a '96 Sportster 1200); most are mouth-breathing pus-drooling idiots that somehow arose from the genetic cesspool to inflict their presence on others.... –Fbeaver

First off, I wanna say, great site! I've been about half way through all the sections and have thoroughly enjoyed everything I've seen so far. In particular, the SPO section has been very useful to me. I recently acquired a 1989 Camaro RS with an L03 motor, and have been trying to find ways to get more performance out of it on a budget. In that respect, your site has been extremely useful to me. – Cblake

I thought I was the only person in the world who would openly speak out against the joke that has become Harley Davidson. I ride a V Max, for me it is the only bike. I ride it because it is what I want to ride not what everyone else has. Most of the people I ride with have two cylinder noise makers. It's nice to know that for all of the rice burner & jap bike comments I endure there is no feeling like cracking the throttle and watching them disappear in the side view mirror. Here's something that you might appreciate. I was in a bar one night and some girl said what kind of bike do you ride? When I replied a V Max she said oh, why don't you have a Harley. I said that I wasn't old enough to want to ride a 2 cylinder. Her response was what do you mean?, Harley Davidson is the fastest motorcycle on the road. After I stopped laughing I said, Who the hell told you that? Then I saw her boyfriend drop his head and turn away. While myself & my friend who rode up on his brand new R1 walked away still laughing. It's nice to know that I'm not alone. Thanks for some entertaining reading.  - RLubowicki

I have been reading through your LO3/TBI articles...very interesting and informative. – Gpierce

I found your link to "THE FINE PRINT" through http://cbrworld.net and had a really good chuckle. I just had to say thanks for that. -LPontes

Datapulse is an excellent site, original, informative, and just plain fun. –JClem

Just wanted to let you know, I am a 4th gen owner and I have nothing against 1st, 2nd, or 3rd gen. I have liked Camaros ever since they appeared. I was 18 at the time. I am enjoying reading your stories, but it's getting late and I don't know if I will finish this session. BTW, they are better for me because I am very familiar with the area. I live in Laurel and my son lives in Petal. He drives a '96 Mustang GT and his best friend has an '01 Stang, both very nice. Fortunately, both of these boys do not fit in your "Lamar county" category. They usually pick on someone their own size. Anyway, thanks for the giggles. And if you see a white '01 Z28 with an old gray-bearded fart, just wave, with all fingers. I'll do the same. Oh yeah, do you ever visit Eatonville? See ya in the funny papers. –Ldavis

Hi, i just sat in front of my computer, for almost two hours, reading different parts of "The Driver's Seat" , and it has to be some of the best, and funniest, writing I've ever read, especially from a car-related web site. i don't currently own a 3rd-gen., i just happened to stumble across the SPO portion of your site, just surfing. but its really nice to find something actually interesting, instead of the normal, mindless crap that's out there. thanks, and keep up the good work. -Steve

Happened to be surfing the Internet at work (shame on me), when I stumbled upon your Web page "Sportbikes Forever". Enjoyed it very much.  Wanting more, got back to your Home page and saw your "Harley ain't real motorcycle" rant. Wow, was I ever blown away! I couldn't believe what I was reading. A White American telling the truth about Harleys and their culture. Being a Japanese American born and raised in Southern California and an avid Sportbike rider, and hearing all the negative comments about Japanese bikes throughout the years, I thought I'd never see the day when someone would expose those Hee-Haws as the biggest joke on two wheels, and on the Internet no less. All I can say is you got balls. Growing up in America, I can't help but notice that there are many white guys out there that are emotionally insecure. It seems they have a need to put down non whites in order to feel good about themselves (or is that superior?). You Sir, on the other hand, don't seem to suffer from that weakness. Your the kind of man who is not afraid to give credit where credit is due and criticism when it is warranted. Even if that criticism is directed at your fellow Americans.  I too love this country. But what I can't stand is American arrogance.   And that's what the Harley culture is all about, arrogance. I will continue to visit your site often, you have a big fan in me. Also, thanks for the kind words you have to say about the Japanese motorcycle manufactures. I too am in awe of their engineering prowess. Take care.   -BTanaka

Wow! This is the best site I've been to on the web. I appreciate your honesty.   -PCampbell

Your TBI site is everything I ever looked for with regards to my motor.   Thank you for putting this information on the intranet so that other enthusiasts can have accessed to it.  Keep up the great work!  -Tsmith

Fucking harley riders are a bunch of ass grazing conformist sheep.  I've never met a Harley rider I liked, most were snob-nosed assholes who had more money than common sense, and could only be described as flag slathered shit-tards.   Bravo, man, for having the brass to point out what others won't or can't.   You've got my support.  I'm an American, Vietnam veteran, I live in California, and I ride a Ducati monster because America builds total shit for a motorcycle and I refuse to waste my money or time riding shit.  Fuck Harley, I didn't almost get my ass shot off so that ass-nosing nimrods can put an American flag on their leather jacket and claim to be bad-ass when they're nothing but average candy-ass pussies in leather drag who bought their reputation instead of earned it like the rest of us bikers. Damn I'm charged after reading your rant.  Big Salute, sir, your rant is a rodge!   -Rhanover

I read the story of how you and your wife met.  You are one lucky individual to have met someone like Cindy.  Having met someone similar and lost them to a stupid mistake, all I have to say is DON'T EVER LET HER GET AWAY!  I let my "Cindy" get away, and I'm a fool for it.  Thanks for the advice via email also, man.  It means a lot.  Trust me, it means a lot.  -Mbarnes

Get another sport bike.  Get your ass out to California.  Party and ride with us for a week!  We'll carve some canyons and make fun of Harley-tards until we pass out from mirth-overload!  The invitation is there, man.  Use it, for God's sake, use it! -Charold

One word; Darkthoughts.  One word; fucking hilarious.   Sorry, that was two words.  Well, maybe one word if you like hyphenated "fucking-hilarious", there, that works.  -Jjones

Just wanted to comment on your Datapulse site.  The essay on power armor alone is worth admission price if you ever decided to charge for it.   I have been an OGRE player for about fifteen years off and on but after finding your site, I'm back into it full time and have found four new players to try out some of your optional rules.  I love the fiction!  -Lharrison

I have spent four days reviewing your "Icarus" site and I want more!   This ship is fascinating in a simple but elegant manner, and your thoughts on what went on behind the crew and their interaction, as well as the theory that the ship we see in the third movie belongs to Brent is beyond interesting, it's actually makes a lot of sense!  -Bjones

Excellent site!  I loved the anti-harley rant!   Keep on telling the bozos like it is, only a total retard would ever own a harley.   -Rsmith

I found your site from a discussion group and you were getting pretty good comments.  I followed the link back and now see what they were talking about.   Very nice site, well built, and very informative.  I like your philosophy on working on cars, it's a mature approach that is refreshing after dealing with all the dickheads out there on the newsgroups. -Btyson

Mr. Echo:   Most webrants can't hold my attention that long, but yours is a masterpiece. You've raised the performance bar. In any case, keep up the good work. - Spamgrinder, "a lumbering ricecruiser rider"

Thank you for all the information on the L03 it helped me make up my mind to keep my '89 RS instead of selling it for a '84 LG4 Camaro.  No one would ever answer my questions, but I think you covered them all in one article.  You can't find that on those F-body car forums.  -Ashaw

Damn!  Damn!  Damn!  Your site or should I say sites kick all ass!  I've been here for ten days now and haven't found the bottom of your stuff and it just keeps getting more incredible the more I read!  Keep up the great work, I think I just found the one website on the entire internet worth visiting and bookmarking.   Damn!  Oh, I said that already...  -TBrynes

Well, my hat's off to you. Though i may live in wisconsin, the fact is, the worst sound in the world is a harley. I almost fell out of my chair laughing at your comebacks. Kudos to you, sir for telling it "the way it is". Big image. that's it. Your darkthoughts kill me, man.  I haven't stopped laughing since I found them. -Rjones

My GOD!  The Ghetto Stang killed me!  Also your "horsewhipper" post!  I was in tears.  Thank you, sir!  Thank you! -Mhiggins.

Hi, Just read your piece on Why HD is not American.....That is the most honest article I have ever read concerning HD. ... The marketing and fake bullshit coming out of the factory has turned a possible Harley owner into a "wouldn't be caught dead on one" rider. I would feel like an idiot to be spouting off about the superiority and Americanism of the product. I still like them for what they are not what the factory and the general public believe. Until America wakes up I'll be riding my Intruder, Shadow, and possibly a 'Busa in the near future.  Thanks for the message........I'll pass this to as many riders as I can. Of course if they already ride one they know its true and will probably deny it and if they ride something else....then they are the intelligentones.   later, GKruse

RE: Harley rant.  I love it! Totally agree 100%! Keep up the good work. I'm surprised the Harley Nazis haven't taken you into custody yet! ha ha -Eddie

First off I just wanted to say that you have a kick @ss site. It was very informative. I like your philoshy of working with what you have. My name is Eric, I am the proud owner of a 86 Monte Carlo SS, who's L69 engine is very similiar to the LO3 that you have very extensive knowledge. I was very surprised at the similiarities of the two. -EMorrow

thank you for making this site. its nice to get on and see some of the other dumb people in the world(not you, the people that your talkin about). i rarely get to experience dumb people like that b/c they know i will make fun of them. i enjoy making cars go faster as it seems u do to. - KCompton

I found your site by following a link from S-SeriesForum.com about the Ghetto Stang.  Great sense of humor :).  Gee, you probably never thought you'd see the day a Dale Earnhardt fan wrote complementing you on your site.  I hate how all of a sudden he and his name has become popular.   Actually, I REALLY hate how NASCAR and Winston Cup has become so popular, it's just the 'in thing.'  So really I agree with you on a lot of that.  I just needed to get this out in the clear though, not ALL NASCAR fans are ignorant ass clowns.  Just most of the ones that live with us in Mississippi :).  Your site rocks, I think I've spent every other night of that past month exploring your site.  Your Dark Thoughts are awesome, my cousin's always asking "what the HELL are you laughing at???"  I don't own a F-body, but one day I'll probably be putting a Camaro V8 in my Sonoma and I'm keeping the TBI, I can't believe the morons that sacrifice so much potential by switching to a carb just because the won't get off their butts and do some research.  Nevermind that you have to change the jets out seasonally on a carb.   "Gee, I wonder why my car's so hard to crank in the winter???"   Awesome site, keep up the great work!- W. T. Herrod, Jr.

I followed your Harley rant back from a newsgroup.  I must say, you have a talent for stirring up the rednecks.  "Scoggin"   I blew milk out my nose when I read that descriptive term.  Thanks, I've expanded my vocabulary.   GREAT article on Harleys, it put those scoggins in their place.  See, I'm using new words!  Thank you, sir, for the many laughs and keep up the great work! -Bsmith

hi.  i am  a  p.ot.a  fan living in the uk and have just discoverd  your fantastic "ANSA"  website. very informative    i actually thought  i was the only  person fascinated  by the icarus scenes in the  first  3  films. ...   once again good luck and  keep the ansa theme  alive. best wishes.   -mfinch (ansa)

Thanks for the information on the L03 motor.  No other site has anything like it!  Following your buildup, my RS has gone from a 16 second car to low 14s!   And to think I was going to sell this 'slug' and go with that TPI shit!  Not!   -Bjones

Your DARK THOUGHTS are priceless!  You really need to start doing improv comedy.  I know if you came to my town, I'd pay good money to see your act!   -Rrogers

I *love* the way you make fun of NASCAR fans!  It kills me!  Those guys are such retards.  The whole "Go fast, turn left!" bullshit really evades my mental understanding.  It's like dirt track racing on asphalt.  Big whoopti-f**king deal (twirls finger boringly).  Keep up the attack, guy!  Anyone who watches NASCAR is a complete idiot. -GWaller

Hey, Just a quick note on your Black Echo site, I surfed in as a OGRE/G.E.V gamer fan, and quickly read all your back ground info. Great Stuff! -Rehm

Ha!, and I toght i dispaised HD . You are an inspiration. Sory for the grama[im just learning to right in english]I ride an R6 year round Iused to love HD as a kid growing in Romania [ the image] but living in USA has opened my eyes. I like how you put them in their places. I hate when i dance with my bike in the mauntains and i get stuck behind some fat asses doing 40 on a 45 speed limit and waving oll over the lane with their laud fart machines. Foke'm, yea!!! Foke'm!!! PS sory for the grama again !!! -Ataranu

I`m 20 year old student from Poland ( Europe). I own a `89 Firebird Formula with 305 TBI engine. I love Formulas to me they are the best, aggresive looking thirdgens. I have found your page while I was looking for some info on how to tune up my L-03 engine.    The reason for this are all those TPI equipped F-bodies that are owned by my friends from our F-body club as well as nasty Mustang GT (220 hp) that drives around. You have a very sensible approach to the problem and I like it. -Marcin

hey guy! i gotta tell ya that i been riding a harley for over 25 years and live in the mountains (hill scroggin) AND live in a mobile home! and you know "whut"? i think your site is the funniest thing i have seen in a month of sundays and i agree with you! h-d toilet seats and the like are a joke, and what about the h-d cigarettes that were being produced before the politically correct folks stuck it to them? tells you what harley really cares about their customers "sure, smoke these folks, only $5.50 a pack!" this is all a result of harley's greed pandering to the rub harley movement which started about 15 years ago. folks who never had any bike before decided that harleys were the in thing to do so why not buy your first bike at age 45, right? these folks got money and harley is glad to take it. the problem is, reality sets in when they realize that it hurts to crash! if you really want a laugh, get ahold of the new parts catalog and their clothese catalog. the people who wrote this stuff must be high on coke, talking about (fake) brotherhood between the factory and "rider", how only gen-u-ine harley parts can make your bike real and you a biker, etc. its a complete joke, but people are buying into it. back in the 70's i used to ride harley choppers. my local dealer would not work on them. about the only things they had then for sale was parts, oil, t-shirts and leather jackets. btw, i work on my bike myself, always have, never saw the inside of a dealership past its 10,000 "service" (a joke). its a 91 big twin, gear-driven blower, axtell cylinders/forged pistons and more go-fast stuff than i can list in an hour. for a harley its not too bad, about 100 horsepower. still won't keep up with the high eng jap or ducati bikes, but i'm hell to tell ya it kicks the snot of any yuppie's bike around here! anyways, great site. no hard feelings... -mike

I just got done reading some of your Autozone stories... It just goes to show that the world is full of idiots... Also, just to let you know, I came across your page in the rec.autos.makers.ford.mustang newsgroup... Someone posted the link for the riced out Mustang... And yes, I own a Firebird... And no, I don't know what the hell I'm doing in a Mustang newsgroup... Gary

I found your site via a link in a newsgroup. I love it. The "You Might Be a Ricer If" page is my favorite, as I work with a guy who wants to make his new S-10 Extreme fall into that very category. Also, I really enjoyed the story of the Pontiac and the GT. Anyway , just wanted to let you know that you have a great site. -Justin

I just had to drop a quick note to compliment you on your TBI performance website - very, very nice! It's pretty clear that you put a lot of thought into what you've posted. "The Rules" are pretty cool, too:) - EBryant

I've e-mailed you in the past with questions regarding TROLL. Today I feel I have to convey my admiration for your entire WWW site. I must confess that I stop by a least twice a week and I look forward to any and all updates. Datapulse has inspired me to dust of my OGRE/GEV rules and find some new players. The material therein is well thought out (although your description of the Combine is a little sunnier than the original SJG material paints it)and keep current trends in military technology in mind. Your essays on tactics, battlesuit technology, and your fiction give a real sense that you know your material. We're you in the service? Next to Datapulse, there is Dark Thoughts. Personally I find your opinions socially irresponsible, culturally irredeemable, and lacking in proper respect for our government and it's institutions. Keep up the great work! As for everything else: Although I'm not big on "Planet of the Apes" your tech info on the Icarus is just as interesting as your OGRE material. You are an excellent modeler; I myself have just finished a 1/20 scale SAFS suit and I'm thinking of tackling a Fireball next. All in all you have a fantastic site. I only wish I had the time to make my personal web space as great as yours. -MSiefert

I just recently found your web site and I am impressed. I have been reading some of the stories in "The Drivers Seat" and they are quite funny. I absolutely loved your story entitled "...your kung fu is no good." That is one of the funniest things I have ever read, I feel sorry for that moron. –Russell **PS**

Hello, my name is Zach and I have been an APES fan since 1968 when the original "POTA" was released. I just found out about your website and it is simply FANTASTIC!  -ZScott

... I found your website through the Google search engine and I must say that it ROCKS! I like the way you mix the 'facts' about the Icarus with some great humor. The only info I had about this fascinating spacecraft was from Phil Broad's site, the article from Sci-Fi and Fantasy International, and of course, the movies. Your representation of the Icarus seems logical to me. The article in the magazine was good, especially the interview with the set designer, but I had trouble with the placement of the retro rocket nozzles on the rear bulkhead without a space for the propellant. Otherwise, the design was very good. Phil Broad did alot to bring the Icarus more into focus in the collective minds of us fans, and I hope his site will come back soon. You have really thought this out.   -LMartinez

I have just finished reviewing your webpage on the ANSA spacecraft. It is a most remarkable site to behold. I thought that I was the only person who thought that the ship was a most elegant and beautiful design. Simple, and yet capable. I know now that there are others who admire the ship for the same reasons that you so eloquently wrote about on your web page. Actually, you go a bit deeper in the true meaning of what that ship actually represented to me at the time I first saw it at a drive in theater with my Mom and Dad back in 1968. I was six years old and to me, it was the first ship that seemed REAL. Not a cardboard mockup or a small model hanging from a string with a sparkler making fire out of the rear of the craft. It was a real ship with real men. It made spaceflight seem like something our nation should be working toward. You have done an admirable job and I am in awe of

your work!  -LMontgomery

I'm sure you've heard this before - but - I absolutely LOVE your website! -JLewis

I was really tired of all the idiots who called themselves 'knowledgeable', especially the ones that hung out on the so called F-body sites.  I was almost about to sell my '90 RS L03 until I found your site!  Thanks for giveing me new hope for my car.  Screw those other guys.  Keep up the great work! -RMichaels

I am very impressed with the care, research, and presentation of your TBI pages. -WPrince

Excellent website.  Very good information.  Exactly what I need right now.  -JSanders

I was searching the web looking for GOOD TBI info and came accross your website. Some GREAT info there... -Delmustator

I just had to drop a quick note to compliment you on your TBI performance website - very, very nice! It's pretty clear that you put a lot of thought into what you've posted. "The Rules" are pretty cool, too:) -EBryant

I just recently found your web site and I am impressed. I have been reading some of the stories in "The Drivers Seat" and they are quite funny.   -RSpears

After reading a few of your rants, I have to agree with you on quality of things today.  I currently own a Harley money pit.  Right now, the motor is disassembled for the second time this year.  I haven't ridden more than 2000 miles this year!  This is riddiculous!  The pit is a 1997 model with about 30,000 miles on it (I'm not sure, because the speedometer died at about 5000 and didn't get replaced 'til about 6000).  I am so dissatisfied with my Harley that I probably won't buy another, but I have too much money "invested" in this one to sell it.   You are right on the money about the Sportster.  To make it a bike that can even come close to competing you have to almost completely rebuild it!  What's up with that?!?!  ...  Your comments about stupidity almost sound like some of the things that I hear rattling around in my head.  Some people are just failed examples of Darwinisim and survival of the fittest.  I think of these people as OXYGEN THIEVES, stealing it from those of us that can really use it.  -ASmyth

I've looked at gobs of information on the internet, read tons of catalogs, read countless books, and talked to many "professionals" - and haven't learned shit. I stumbled across your site and I'm totally impressed. After studying your site, I know more about my car than I've ever learned from reading my shop manual... - MAngelo

Hi There--- Boy what a site!!!!! I really enjoy and am learning a lot reading all of the things you have put in your site!!!! I am a 62 year old kid that has been working on cars since I was old enough to pick up a wrench and hand it to my Dad as he worked on his '35 Ford. -DDuvall

The government is watching you.  If they aren't, then they need to be!   Keep up the great site!  -Tsmith

You definitely have a sense of humor!  Thank you for the laughter.    -Dthomas

Harley riders are a bunch of posing idiots.  I'm glad someone else sees through their pathetic charade and isn't afraid to tell it like it is.  American my ass, since when did America become so candy-ass?  Nice site, I'll be staying for a while.  - Rtaran

Thank you for the information you have provided for the Planet of the Apes spaceship!  I'm a big fan of the POTA series and until now, I never could find any information on this fantastic ship!  Your site is the best!  - Jwaltrip

Thought I would drop you a note to tell you that you are one twisted and sick individual that has kept me in hysterical tears of laughter for the last three days solid.    Keep up the great work!  - Mbrown

Your Dark Thoughts site made me laugh until I cried.  I think we both think a lot alike.  -Jcarter

… Had to write and say, man, good job, I am speechless.last Night I laughed so hard, I was crying, choking, and just couldnt stop laughing, couldnt go to sleep, woke up my girlfriend, scared the hell out of my cat. I think I am addicted to your site. -Gordonw

You know, if half the people in this country thought like you, this might be a better place. Either that, or half of us would be on thorazene (sp)! -Srich

A cop who hates Harleys and plays OGRE! Now I’ve seen it ALL! -Mjones

Just wanted to say i definetly agree with what you said about that Rob/Del Sol guy. Just Plain stupidy sprouting from wanting to know what he was talking about. I also wanted to say that not all import owners are like this though. alot of import racers know there shit and are not like that stupid fuck of a del sol owner. I will agree that most of the people out here are ignorant about what they wish they new. –MattE

Your OGRE site is awesome! I printed out some of your material for use in an OGRE RPG that I’m doing. When people ask me where I got the cool stuff I describe, I give them the URL to your site. Thanks again for a lot of material for my campaign! -Rsmith.

Black Echo, I found your site by accident and was amazed. The further I got into your site, the more incredible it became. How one person could do all this is beyond me but thanks for a great site. It sure beats 99% of that crap out there on the net that I have to wade through. -Tpowell

Your ideas are interesting and thought provoking. Have you had any formal military training? Your writing would imply such. Great site and thanks for the Dark Thoughts. They’ve become a topic of the office now. You almost got my friend fired when he laughed out loud at your comments about Hilary Clinton and the Skymarshals. -JKensing

Your site is best enjoyed while drunk… I laughed so hard beer ran out my nose. I puked. I laughed some more. I wonder if its better while you are stoned… I’ll let you know. –Rhatton.

Man! You are f**king hilarious! I haven’t laughed this hard since I first saw Clerks! Keep up the good work! -Tkent

Thank you for all of the information you have put up about OGRE and GEV. You have some interesting concepts and your optional rules make a lot of sense. Looking forward to your next DATAPULSE update! -Bcreel.

Damn! My roommates and I stayed up like six hours going through your site and I still don’t think we found everything! We called out for pizza! Twice! You had all of us rolling in the floor crying. You know your site is funny when you can get three guys to put down the PS2 and come sit around the monitor to the computer. Don’t ever stop posting, Black Echo!!!!!! -Btynes, Dschwartz, Rsmith, Thoffer.

I knew I had better look at your site when I saw the link on Steve Jackson’s OGRE website. Thanks for all the insights and interesting speculation. You have fleshed out a part of the OGRE and GEV universe which few other people do. Your fiction was top notch as well, I enjoyed it even more than the stories by J. D. Bell… Cbobbins.

Thanks for all the TBI information. It gives me a good start. I’m so tired of all the third gen sites, all they do is fight and argue. At least you answered my email and explained things in a way that I could begin to understand. Thanks again, Black Echo! -Mrogers.

You have a very real talent for presenting your ideas and humor. Thank you for sharing so much laughter. Your Dark Thoughts section is the best! -Kmoore.

Hey! Damn cool site! I liked it a lot! It rocks! I liked the car stories the best! -BrandonT

Actually, you go a bit deeper in the true meaning of what that ship actually

represented to me at the time I first saw it at a drive in theater with my Mom and Dad back in 1968. I was six years old and to me, it was the first ship that seemed REAL. Not a cardboard mockup or a small model hanging from a string with a sparkler making fire out of the rear of the craft. It was a real ship with real men. It made spaceflight seem like something our nation should be working toward. You have done an admirable job and I am in awe of your work! -LarryM.

Thank you for all the information about my motor that you shared via ICQ the other night.  I know a lot more about my engine now.  Since I'm just starting out with this car and it is my first car, it was great talking to someone who didn't make fun of my 'dumb' questions.  You should be a teacher.   You'd be good at it I know.  -RobbieM

I just wanted to send you email and tell you that I was referred to your site.    Once I looked around, I was hooked!  You have a gift for story telling, Black Echo!  -FredP

My God!  The amount of detail you put into your Datapulse site is incredible!  I've been playing OGRE and GEV for 20 years now and never found anything like your site.  Thank you for all of the great information and the look into aspects of this intriguing world that I had never thought of before.  -AllenS

Your site rocks!  I really liked the Autozone stories.  They were funny!  - MattD

I bet the government watches you pretty damn close.  I know I would if you lived near me.  Too bad you don't.  We'd raise all kind of hell.  -StanT

This has to be the greatest collection of sites I've ever come across on the net.  Bravo!  Especially for the Planet of the Apes information.  After reading through your "Icarus" site, I went out and bought the whole DVD collection.  Thank you for reminding me again what it was like to be a child in a much simpler world.  -BradH

Your stories are very entertaining.  I enjoyed them very much, thank you.   Please post more soon.  -EmilyG

Damn, Echo!  I'd pay admission for this stuff and you give it away?!   You must have more money than you need... ReggieD

You are one sick person.  I agree with all of your points of view and your humor slays me.  The world needs more people like you!   -BDaltry

Hardly Davidson!  Bwahahahahahaha! - K Peters

Have you considered a career in publishing?  If not, you are missing your call.  Your sites are some of the best managed and most well thought out that I have been to in six years.  I mean, my God, everything from bashing Harley Davidson to Planet of the Apes.  What haven't you covered?  I love it!  -G Jones

What's wrong with Waffle House and Harley Davidson?   Trailer park trash has got to have a place to park their bikes when they go out on the town, don't they?!  - D Smithe

You are obviouslly very talended and dementded.  I like your site a lot. - T White

Oh My God!  I actually fell out of my chair laughing when I read your article on Harleys and the replys from some of those idiots!  What a bunch of losers!   I was in tears! -G Castokyn, '98 Ninja ZX-6R

Oh man!  This is the funniest damn site I've seen in a long time!   You are serious competition for The Onion!  Do you work for them?    You should...  - K Jeeter

I'd hate to see your psychiatry bill!  You must give your shrink fits!   But then, if you were sane, I probably wouldn't find your site as funny and entertaining as I do.  Never go sane, dude!  It sucks.  Trust me.    -W Hale.

I find your views to be intelligent, right on target and often funny as hell!   So what if some people get their feelings hurt.  That's life.   Tell it like it is, Echo, and don't ever give up the power!  -B Smith

Is it possible to get a hernia from laughing too hard?  I think I did.   Ouch!  Don't ever stop writing or updating your sites!   -MarkW

I've been visiting your site for about two weeks now and all I can say is that everytime I think I've found everything, I find something else that keeps me browsing for days.  And laughing!  You have a gift that you share with the world.  Not everyone may appreciate it, but I sure do!  Thanks for making my life a little brighter and a lot funnier.  If you are ever in Dallas, look me up.    Dinner is on me!  -Robin J.

Damn you're funny.  I wish you live around here, then we'd hang out and ride.  I agree, "People ARE sheep!"  -Wjones

I laughed and laughed until my ass fell off.  I've sent a link to your site to all of my friends.  You've got visitors to your site for LIFE!   -R Roberts

Damn!  You're like an evil Lewis Grizzard!  I love it!    Don't ever stop writing or telling stories!  -B Malthus

You're obviously twisted and cynical. But now that I've read your stuff and realize I share your views on almost every topic you discussed, I'm really

scared! (as us southerners are often sarcastically imitated, "I'm SKEERED")- You ought to publish this stuff. It's hilarious! -M Turner

Laughed my ass off!!!! Did 10 years of police work in the past and don't dislike Harley's as much as you, but have alot of the same sentiments towards them and the wannabe though guys that pay those over inflated prices.. Now they get Porsche to help with devolopment of a new bike, but the dealers will add on a huge markup and they think this is a move on the preformance the foreign models are offering? I do have to admit I don't own a sportbike though. I ride a Honda Magna. Always amazes me how each year they can get 1 million bikes to go to some crapy town out in the middle of nowhere, in 115 degree weather, where there is nothing to do and they come back proud sporting a moron at Sturgis T-shirt and feel tough. Not my idea of a vacation. Keep it coming. –M R Woodruff

Man you are borderline Psycho, who let you out of your cage? You would be in good company in our mix. … If you are ever in the L.A. area give us a ring, we know all the good roads. -Russ

Stumbled onto your website. VERY cool. Loved the opinion page Agree with d*mn near everything. Well done. L Anderson.

Right on! I can't afford it now, but after I pay off my car in 3 years, I think a new SV650 will be calling my garage home. Fight the power and keep up the good work! -D Duarte

I used to own a Harley. A 72 custom. What a piece of sh*t. Nothing like having to tighten all the bolts up when you get home so you don't ruin your garage floor. I recently went to buy a new bike. Took the new Wide Glide out for a ride. Went 3 blocks..turned around and gave them the keys. Shocked ALL the bikers in the store when I said rather loudly "What a piece of S**T!" Went down the road to the Yamaha dealer...bought a new Royal Star. (V-Twin).  Ran across one of the bikers from the Harley shop at the next light. Of course he ranted about how I bought a Jap bike...and when the light turned green he nailed it.  When I blew by him in second gear I gave him a little wave and accelerated off.  American muscle indeed. -Brian

If you are not employed professionally as a writer, you have missed your calling. I'm dead serious!  The way you so effortlessly communicate your thoughts and experiences while also holding a reader's interest is impressive. -B. Rudy

As a rider with 20yrs experience, I agree with almost all of your statements, and opinions. There are far to many sheep in the world today. ... As far as I'm concerned, you should be commended for shedding light on this massive display of ignorance. - D.Taylor

I normally don't give feedback, but...  Oh, man! You are the best thing since they cancelled Ed Anger from the Weekly World News. I love your site. It's on a par with The Onion for ironic humor. Look for more hits as I share it with my friends. -M.Pagan.

RE: Your Harley Article.  ROCK ON BROTHER!  AMEN!  -C.Lemi

About your Harley article... unf**king believable!  You hit that nail right on the head! --MBurns, '98 CBR600F4

I just started in this project car life. I have a lot to learn yet have absorb so much .....  Also I would just like to say I love your site. It is helping me out a lot on the learning curve. I have a 89 Iroc-z convertible. I just picked it up a couple of months ago. It is the car I always loved and wanted. Now I want to work on it and get it running better. It runs great right now but it could use a little more power. So I have started my paper project. I have all the parts I have been looking into on paper. Plus this has helped me get the best price by shopping around and not impulse buying. I was playing with the idea of putting a TPI unit in it. Then started to think about just leaving the Throttle body in there. After seeing your site I am going to do that! .... Thank you for the tools to help me learn more! --Phil P.

I just wanted to thank you for the time you have put into your site. I'm an 18 year old kid who bought his first car an 89 Firebird w/ a TBI305, and I have wanted to start playing with it but have been unable to find a site with information that a begginner like myself could actually use. While I'm still not confidnet enough to just replace the air intake system on my only car, your site has given me a nice set of steps to look into further to get to where I want to be with my car and my own skills. So thank you! -- HenryC.

Thanks for the help via Email and ICQ the other night, her car is running fine again.  If your ever out in Amarillo, TX, you have a place to crash and shoot the breeze!  Best wishes and thanks again!  --Timothy W. and Amanda S.

Two thumbs up!  Excellent site.  I'm a carburetor guy from way back, but EFI has always interested me.  Thanks for helping an old fart learn a new trick or two and have some laughs in the process!  Now I might be able to talk on the same level as my son, if I can just get him to sell that Mitsubishi Eclipse and get an older American V8 that we can work on together.  Forget that, it's time I got another American V8.  Maybe it will one of those TBI powered Camaros.  How about a TBI transplant into a 1980 Camaro Rally Sport?  I know a guy who has one with a V6 in it originally and I think I can get a truck 350 TBI complete from the junkyard.  Damn, I'm too old for this.  Thanks for lighting a flame again that I hadn't had since college.  Keep up the good work, sir, and good luck with your cars!  -Dale H.

I guess the network link was down for a day or so because  I couldn't get goingfaster and I paniked, man!  I thought you had taken your site down! Don't ever take your site down!  --Bill C.

Well, I guess it was inevitable that someone, somewhere would find something good about TBI.  Its about dam time!  I followed  link to your site from a chat room where a bunch of TPI losers were talking smack about TBI powered cars and one guy said that you had a site about TBI and why would anyone waist their time with something dumb like TBI.  Another guy came online and started using quotes from your site to put TPI guys in their place.  After about ten minutes there was only one TPI guy left in the forum and he was admitting that he kind of liked TBI.  It was funny as all hell!  Count me as another of your 'followers', man.  Finally, some truth to blow away all the old crap I read on the newsgroups and chatrooms about TBI.  Half of those guys don't even know how TBI works, they only know that it sucks and only then because someone else told them that it does.  What is it that you say, "People are sheep!"?  I'm beginning to see how you think.  And I totally agree... --Mark B.

You have an awesome site, Black Echo!  I'm 16 and my parents just bought me my first car, a red '89 Camaro RS with the 305 throttle body motor in it.  It is really cool and I've wanted a Camaro like this for a long time, ever since my friend's older brother had a '84 Z28 and used to take us around to the mall in it.  It was fast!  My dad and I didn't know anything about the engine in this car, other than it was a V8.  My friend's brother took a look at it the day I got to bring it home from the lot and he said it was fuel injected.  I thought all fuel injection was the same.    My dad is a old school carbureter guy who thought that the car had a two barrel carburetor under the hood but my mechanic said that the TPI motor was more powerful and that I didn't have the TPI motor but some throttle body motor.  My dad and I got on the computer and searched the internet for anything we could find on this motor and after a while we found your site.  You have a lot to say!  I've printed out all of your tech articles (I hope you don't mind) and put them in a notebook to read as I can in school class.  My dad and I are using your information to learn more about our car.   Thanks again from both of us!  It was great to find a site that was written for the beginner (like me!!!!) and not somebody who already knows everything about a car that there is to know (like my friend's brother Rick).  --Bradley and John M.

Please post more stories!  I've read all of these like five times apiece and I'm still laughing!  -- Patrick W.

Thank you for all your help and suggestions.  Your site is one of the best I have ever been to on the internet!  --Paul W.

My Cobra SVT will take your stupid Fireturd any day.  Let me know when you want to race, dickhead!  Get a real car and a life!  I beat cars like yours every day going to and from work, and that is without the nitrous.  In case you didn't understand by now, Ford rules!  GM sucks. --CobraStangGuy98@aol.com (closet homo simply looking for acceptance ... and apparently not getting any either)

Bwahahahahahahaha!  God this site rocks!  Interesting tech stuff, but the stories killed me!  You should write a book!  I'd buy it...  --Greg E.

I've followed some of your suggestions for a buildup of my L03 powered '89 Firebird.  Now it is faster than my friend's '88 IROC-Z with the 305 TPI in it.    Thanks, Black Echo, for ruining a great friendship.  My friend won't talk to me anymore now that my TBI car will smack his down at every stop light... and I love it!   --Robert M

Now this is how a car site should be!  I get so tired of the 'I'm so damn great because I have TPI' and 'here are pictures of me pumping iron next to my Camaro and my trailer' type sites.  Finally, someone who explains it like it is.  Thank you! --Chad S.

Hello, BlackEcho. I was directed to your site on www.customerssuck.com. Your site was posted because of your funny AutoZone customer stories.  Anyway, just wanted to say that I really like your site and thank you for explaining what a "rice boy" is. We have tons and tons here (one in my own apartment complex!). Thanks for providing so much laughter.   -KrystalT

God d*mn this site rocks!  I've spent three nights here and still haven't found the end and I've laughed my ass off more times than I can count!  - BrettF

Hello, Just wanted to tell you how close I came to wetting my pants with laughter after reading your stories! I couldn't stop laughing most of the time. Thanks!!!!    - RichardH

Never mind.  -BradleyW  (not kidding. I got an email that said "I have a technical question..." and the only words in the message were "Never mind."  Scary!)

I take it you don't like F-body owners anymore?  Good!  Join the club.  Funny sh*t you have put together.  I'm using some of it on the F-body owners that I work with.  -DaveD, '94 Mustang.

Your Autozone stories are great!  I laughed at your other stuff too!    Laughed a LOT!  - MikeW

Your insights into the typical Camaro owner are right on the money!    So true!  I was laughing my ass off for an hour.  I printed it out and gave it to a guy I work with that owns a piece of sh*t '84 Camaro with that "high output" motor in it that keeps losing to my 302 all the time when we race.  He is always bragging about how great his motor is, and how rare it is and I just tell him to put up or shut up.  He lost big time, seems someone on some F-body board told him that his motor would beat my car.  Ha!   He didn't like your article too much.  I enjoyed the hell out of it!   Kind of rubbing his face in it.   Keep up the great work.  Your stories kill me!  - Bruce N., 1995 Mustang GT

We have had a few user requests for more information about mods & performance parts. I briefly looked at your site and it looks like a good source of information for engine mods, it was in a how to written format.  Really good work with that site. Maybe in the future we can exchange content for our sites in some manner. -Blair

Your site is one of the best written and most funny sites I have ever went to.    I own a LG4 powered Trans-Am and you make me want to switch to TBI!   -SteveS

Hey Black Echo!  Thanks for all the information you have put up on the TBI motor!  Your site rocks!  -BradM, '91 TBI Camaro

I LOVE the site. "The drivers seat" is great. I laughed all morning reading that. I havn't gotten any work dont yet today, I've been here for almost 2 hours. I love your reply to the stupid riceboy! The "barbie in a vette" was great. And your Autozone stories make me want to take a large paycut and work there! You car sounds bad BTW. I own a '93 3000GT VR4. I love fast cars, your Lingenfelter would walk me easy! I live in Denver and drive about 20 miles to work everyday, I understand your view on stupid drivers! I'm bookmarking your site, keep up the good work! -RichardV

Oh my God!  A site about the motor in my car!  And it has information!  And you don't make fun of my motor or tell me to get a 'real' motor like one of those (uggh) carburetor fed LG4 slugs!  I love you, man!  -MattM, '88 M5 L03 Formula.

My wife and I have really enjoyed reading your stories.  When I had a problem with my Firebird, I took a chance by emailing you (since no one local seemed to know anything about TBI) and was amazed that you sent an email back in so little time (I must have caught you online, lucky me!).  Thanks for your unselfish help via Email about the fuel injection problem.  I know I must have sent ten emails that one night, playing 'email tag', but you stayed online with us until the problem was fixed and you answered each email and question  patiently and professionally.  With your help, I was able to get my Firebird running again that night and it really was something simple!    I bet the local mechanic would have charged me out the butt to fix it...    Thanks for all the help!  -ChadM, '89 Firebird TBI

Your site kicks f**king ass!  Never quit putting up the info, man! TBI rules! - MarkH, '91 Formula

I can't tell you how much I've learned about my car just by reading sh*t on your your site!  I've printed out all of your tech articles and carry them to work with me to read when I can, they even get passed around and I'm working on another guy who has a TBI Camaro, his eyes got real big when I told him I had found a site dealing with TBI hop-ups and he begged me for the URL to your site.  I am impressed!  The more I read, the more I learn!  Thanks for all the real world information you have given to us F-body owners!  I got so tired of all of those idiots on the chatrooms telling me that TBI was no good.  - JayS

Hi, a link to your 9 sec Blazer story found it's way to one of my mailing lists and I really enjoyed it.  ... I did a very quick look at your web site ... and really liked the layout and style.  Keep up the great work!  I look forward to popping back in the future and exploring more of your stories!  -FredS- 97 Eclipse GST

This is BY FAR the best site online! It is fantastic! I helped my girlfriend purchase a 1992 Camaro RS with a 305ci TBI several months ago. Her dream was to own a third generation Camaro. I myself own a 1994 LT1 Camaro and I dont know a whole lot about her generation. As we started to research the third generation and her specific car, we came to discover that Chevy seem to use a lot of different engines and set ups during that era. We were at a loss. Everywhere we seem to look...there was very little on how to modify her car. This site has absolutely everything we needed to know about TBI and its devoted to it! You are a well of infinite knowlegde on TBI!  -Brian And Susan

I'm really, really glad that all of your TBI stuff didn't go away when you changed over to your site (though I doubt you 'really' changed over your site, hint hint).   This is the BEST and ONLY TBI site on the web!  Thanks for all the info, dude!   - MarkR

Unbelievable!  A site with GOOD information about TBI!  Do you know how LONG I've looked for information on my TBI powered Camaro?!  I've downloaded and printed out all of your tech articles on the 3rdGen F-body!  Looks like I have a lot of reading to do!  Anyway,  just wanted to let you know that I've learned a lot from your site, more than I knew when I first got my car.  Thanks a lot!  - ScottZ

Hey man, Linked to your site from the clubGP page. Great site, funny stuff! I too used to work for AZ, reading your stupid customer tales really

brought that back. - Scott

Hey whats up?? i saw your site and though it was bad ass that there was someone who owned and loved TBI cars. I currently

own a 1991 rs camaro that is TBI. -Brian

First let me start by deeply thanking you for your work on explaining the GM fbody engines in so much detail. My name's Greg and i'm a senior in high schoolin Ohio. For my 17th birthday I recieved a 88 TransAm with, you guessed it, a die hard, throw a wrench inside of me and i'm good for another 100,000 miles, 305TBI. At the time I didnt know a whole lot about F-cars and soon realized how much faster the tpi fed cars were than mine. Oh how i wondered why my TransAm must have been the only one ever produced with aTBI. that is until i read you page. It has sparked a new hope. ... Thanks for being brave and straying from the norm.  -GregY

Thanks for all of your information!  I have learned a lot about my car from reading your pages.  It has to be the *best* TBI site on the Internet!    -BarryL

Please don't *EVER* stop writing your stories!  I feel like I am in the passenger seat right there with you!  Good God, man!  You can write!     -ScottC

Glad to see the TBI stuff back up!  And you made changes!   Damn it, I'm going to have to print all of that stuff out again!  My printer hates you.    : )   -RogerW

Your site is awesome!  I had no idea about the history of the Formula and the TBI motor!  It makes me proud to own my TBI powered Formula and know that all of those TPI guys don't really know what they are talking about!  I'm about a tenth of the way through your site right now, and all I can say is, I have learned a lot!   Before I found your site, I didn't know much about my car or the engine.  Now, with just the little that I've read, I've already put several TPI guys at my school in their place.  And I thought THEY knew a lot... turns out they didn't know anything!   Ha!  I gave them your site address, maybe you can teach them, but I doubt it.   Anyway, thanks, and keep up the great work!   -MathewB

Thanks a bunch for a super site.  I have an 81 Jimmy with a 305 and when I purchased it 18 months ago, it had only 22,000 actual miles on it (just a baby).  The motor I have in it is an LE9.  I found your info very helpful.  I also saw some dyno tests puting Vortech heads ($200 each assembled) on the beast.  I think that a TBI on top would be a super setup.  Thanks again and take care!  -JimC.

You have a f**king Lingenfelter!?  God, I am jealous!!!  -Henry R

I really liked the Firebird Chronology!   Thanks for putting it all in order... awesome site.  Keep up the good work!    -LarryB

You have one of, if not the BEST automotive and Firebird related sites on the Internet.  Impressive!  -CharlesK

First I would like to say that I LOVE your site. It really makes me proud to own a tbi. I found you site just in time, after talking to people at thirdgen I was so frustrated with all the bad mouth on 305tbi I started to think that I had been stuck with a rock for an engine, then I got a tip and visited you site. I was looking for a good air induction system thats when I got the tip.      - MikeS

The domain name, SPO.COM is up for auction at http://www.afternic.com.   The current bid today is $2000.00 US.  Thank you.   .. John ..

I can't begin to thank you for all the information you have provided free of charge to anyone like myself with a TBI powered Camaro... your site is one of, if not THE best on the web!  -MHutchinson

It took me almost an hour to read "Ah Grasshopper, your kung fu is no good" but it was the best hour that I've spent in a long time.  I laughed so much that my sides hurt.  And I only spit Mountain Dew on my monitor twice... : )    -RodneyP

I just finished reading all of your 'Tales'!   Unf**king believable!   I was rolling on the floor!  Don't EVER stop writing! - JGoodman

I wish I had as much time as you do and half of the toys ...    -Rspears

I was in tears, dude, tears, while I was reading the Horsewhipper posts!   - Msmith

I have learned a lot from your site.  Thank you for your unselfish time and talent you have provided in putting this site together for the rest of us.  - JLowery

I saw that same issue with the Lingenfelter Formula in it when I was in high school and I said "I'm going to have THAT car one day!"  Looks like you got your dream before I did!  Lucky bastich!   I'm jealous!  - Ken Warren

Unbelievable!  Good idea!  Give me the IROC body!  I want it for my TBI motor!  TBI= Throttle Body IROC! Ha!   -Danny Curtis

Goodbye, Project TBI.  But... Project TBI really is THIS site, isn't it?   It's not one specific car, it's all TBI F-bodies ever made.  Just because you aren't going to be building up your TBI, doesn't mean that the site goes away, or your information is bad.  I mean, you've done so much to make the rest of us TBI owners feel proud of our cars, and it really is about going fast, or going faster in your case.   Enjoy your motor transplant!  I want a ride!  - Bobby Martin

I support your decision to drop the Lingenfelter motor into your Formula.   I thought that would be a neat idea from the first time that I read about the IROC you had bought.  I thought "now, what's he going to do with that IROC, when he could put that motor in the Formula..."  Great minds think alike!  Wish I had a motor like that... I'd swap out my 350 TPI in a blink of an eye!  Formulas rule!  IROCs are big slow ugly cars.  - Ken Curry

I have never laughed so hard in my life as from reading your stories!  Too much!  I need a new kidney...  - TommyH

God! I love your Autozone stories!  Keep posting them! - DarrelK

Your Formula site is incredible! - Rob

You should write a book.  Oh, wait, this is much better, I don't have to pay for it!  -  TonyC

Unf**king believable!  I had no hope for my TBI motor until I found your site!-  RobbyK

This has got to be the best 305 and TBI site on the web!  I was blown away by the info you put together! -ScottyN

Thank you for the information.  Now I can go and ridicule my TPI owning friend and back him down when he says that I don't own a 'real' Formula.  -StanG

Your site is totally incredible!  -RobbyG

I have found the site that I needed!  Thank you very much for all the information you have provided, it is invaluable!  -PeteS

I have just stumbled onto your site, and needless to say I was truly amazed and happy.  The knowledge base of this site is the most extensive I have ever found on the L03 engine.  I, like others, have this engine and have thought about changing over to TPI but it just didn't seem worth the extra hacking.  My car is not an F-body, (my F-body is a '69, wich I was going to adapt the TBI to after I converted to TPI...) but a B-body, the lowly, big, heavy Caprice Classic.   I have researched a lot through GM Parts and found many different choices, but they never came together as you have put them in your site.  I now believe more than ever that I can build up my car to the ranks of the LT1 Impalas and Caprices.  This may be a stretch, but as you say there is a way.  I just wanted to send out a note to you and thank you for maintaining such a valuable site for others like us to learn from.      -Tom.

Keep up the great work!  I visit your site often!  More pics of SUMNBAD!  - JRogers

You are THE MAN, Black Echo.  I love your site!   I read your year end accomplishments on thirdgen.org and the one that struck me the most was the one that said "Started SPO to help TBI and 305 owners".  Who else can claim something like that?  Where most people have sites that consist of 'look at me' and 'here's pictures of my zaino'ed car', you go out of your way to help the people who have the questions that no one else will answer, you help out the underdog, the little guy (and gal).  I respect that.  Like that guy said (on your praise page), the world needs more Black Echos!  -Tommy Whitaker

Makes me want a TBI car and my IROC has a LB9 in it... Sigh.  Good site, and it's about time someone took up the call for the TBI.   I get tired of seeing other TPI guys talking smack about TBI owners, like their cars aren't 'real' Camaros or Firebirds.  Grow up.  Keep up the great work, Black Echo.   Here's one TPI guy that's paying attention to your site.      -RobertR

Good God, man!  How long did it take you to type all of this?!  I am frigging impressed, not just impressed, but frigging impressed!    -John Stuart

Just wanted to drop you a line.  Your site is very impressive, weeks of material to ponder and review.  Knowing someone is out there championing the 305 motor and TBI makes me hopeful that one day, the ignorant people will wake up.  To see so many people talk bad about TBI and yet never even own a TBI car.  That's what I find to be so funny.      -Matt Richardson.

Man, until I found your site, everyone told me that TBI and the 305 were useless.  I guess you and I are about to prove them wrong, except you've got a way big jump on me in the game!  See you at the finish line and keep up the great work.       -Henry Atkins

On a side note, I have to tell you that you are doing a great job keeping people in line over on the thirdgen.org message boards.  I don't know how you do it man but the way you say things really makes people listen.   Keep it up, the world could use more Black Echos.       -ThomasA

Thanks for all the info you have gathered into one spot on the Internet.   I still haven't touched the surface of what lies under your site and I've learned so much!  - JasonD

I am visiting your site daily looking for updates on it. I wanna see ya prove all those fags in the "regulators" board wrong. Plus I want to see what to do to make my Bird fly and handle.  -Ryan

I have been following the great debate over which injection system is better. I have found that both systems have strengths and weaknesses. I have owned a 91 tbi firebird for awhile now she may not be the fastest firebird i have owned but she is a lot more fun then the 350 iroc I traded for her plus my 91 with simple mods could keep up with 350. Thanks for not beingafraid to buck norm. I'm working on some mods for my car so I keep my eyes open to any one doing mods for these cars. Again thanks  -John M.

"I bet we frequent his webpage more than anyone who is interested in TBI." - Ray, of the "Regulators"

Your site rocks!  I just installed the factory cold air induction system on my '89 TBI Formula!  It kicks ASS!    -Brady Smith

Thank you for the technical terms.  There were several things that I was afraid to ask about because I just didn't know and I didn't want people to think I was stupid or something.  Your list just made life a lot easier on me.  Thanks again!   -John Simmons

Now this is what I have been looking for, for a long time now!  - Jason Garroway

F**k!  I mean, like, your site... and the TBI information... F**K !   (all that said in a good kind of way, dude!) - Mark Kreel

I just added the cold air induction system to my '89 Formula.  I am quite impressed with it.  Following your directions, it took me about an hour and a half.   Much better, and the sound is awesome!  Thank you!   -Martin Charles

I wanted to thank you for all the tech help that you gave me the other night.   You didn't have to, but you did.  Now the RS is back running strong again.   Thank you, Black Echo.  Long live TBI!  -Chad Williams

Any chance you have a identical twin brother who is single?   - Chasity Vanheusen

Thank you for the info that you provided for the engine management systems.   I had a heck of a time with my '90 RS and was about to take it to the shop when I hit your site again and there it was!  How to trouble shoot a EFI car!  I printed the article out and went outside and had my car fixed for $50 and an hour of labor that I did myself.  Thank you!  I'm a lot smarter now!  Share what you know, learn what you don't!  I learned a lot from your website!  Thank you!   Oh, did I say "Thanks" yet? : )  - Cameron Jones

Hey!  You're back working on the TBI Project!  YES!  YES!   YES!  There is a God!  TPI sucks, unless you put it on the end of a really long chain and use it for an anchor! -  Jon Spencer

Where were you when I was getting married?   My husband doesn't know jack about my '89 Formula TBI!- Rhonda Whittaker

Man, I am going to sell the 2.8 and get a REAL car!  A TBI Formula!-   Gary Macklin

When I grow up, I want to be just like YOU!   Oh, and I want your Lingenfelter car.  Keys, please.  - Don James

You, Sir, are "Da Man"!  - Vince Jackson

I fall to my knees and bow at your presence. You are the All Mighty. Your site, your Formula Project......are unbelievable. I have spent the last 3 years searching the net for this site. Finally, a site about TBI. I am seriously interested in your air intake from the 84 TA. I just have been contemplating whether to do it to my present car (100% original 1989 Formula) or buy a piece of s--- and start from scratch.  thank you!      -Adam

Read a lot of great s**t on SPO. I can't tell you how many people have said to me (GET RID OF THAT DAMN TBI AND GET A FRIGGEN CARB) First of all, they would not know a boat anchor if it fell on their ASS. Anyway, just wanted you to know that the site kicks ass and I know it is going to be helpful in all the future visits.Oh yeah, looks like you and I are the only MS. Formula nuts on thirdgen.org. Mabey we will cross paths sometime between our some what neighboring cities.  P.S. THE OLD CAR PICKS KICK ASS!!! (Love the welded air cleaner. Gotta try it)         - Brian Martin

I have been searching for an awesome web site for a long time, and I cannot believe the information you have put together for the L03 owners.  I have a 1988 Formula and cannot wait to get it modified to beat up on the TPI.      - Ceolson

I love it. finally a person who really made a real page about a real car. I'm tired of surfingacross stupid "hey look at my new 60" dia resonator tip!" type pages. When I get the cash I'm going to grab a similiar car for my project car, I love the Firebird.  My '94 is sweet but not quite worthy of being a project car. Thanks for the inspiration.    -JamesM

Damn!  Your Formula song (the one to Rob Zombie's Dragula) kicks mother f**king ass!  Where do you come up with all of this?!  -James Short

I found your site while searching for info on the TBI on Alta Vista.    Excellent!  Thank you for the information that you have provided.   And thanks for providing the link to 3rdGen.Org!  I didn't even know that site existed!   I'm hooked, man!    -MarkW

RE: Your site.  Dude!    -ScottW

Excellent site!  Keep up the great work!  I check your site every week!    -John Burkett

Your site is a virtual cache of hard to find information!  I've been reading for days and I still haven't touched the tip of what your site has to offer.      -Bradley W.

I've learned a lot from your site.  A lot more than I ever knew before!   Thanks for presenting the data on the TBI motors as you have done with your site.   It really puts things into perspective!    -SeanJ

You got a prety cool website. If its one thing I hate, its Mustangs and Imports.  I'd rather drive a Firebird Formula any day.           -Neil

"Hey black echo you da man...two thumbs up. i find your site to be one of the best sites for 305tbi's."          -MooncrashZ

"How can I get one of those SPO/TBI logos with the little wrench graphic for my car?  I want one!  Bad!  Let me know!"    -Will and Jeanne Baxter

"This kind of site is why the Internet exists in the first place, to share information on hard to find subjects and to bring people together under one cause.   In this instance, the cause is throttle body injection and it looks like your site is the unofficial home of the L03 motor!  Great work!  I think that the L03 finally has the hero it so desperately needed to challenge it's bad reputation in the performance community..."    -Ronny Crabshaw

"I love The Horsewhipper postings!  I've never laughed so hard in my life!"    -Charles McDonald

"TBI.  Totally Badass Injection!  I love it!  Keep up the good work, man!  I'm hooked!"    -91TBIBIRD

"GREAT f**king site, man!  I love it!  TBI rules!"      -Alex Gordon

"I'm not much of a car person, my boyfriend is, and he found your site and couldn't believe all the information that you provided.  I liked your sense of humor, but most importantly, I liked your "fast talk" section.  Now, with some of the terms that Robby uses explained in real down to Earth words, I can start to grasp some of what he means when he says his ECM is acting up or he wants to gut his cat!  I printed out that page and keep it in my dorm room, studying it.  I think I've surprised Robby by learning his 'language'.  Thanks!"      -Brenda Redford

"Your Formula site kicks some very serious ass!!!  And it's funny too!"    -Ben Williams

"My God !  Two thumbs up, Black Echo !  When that guy on 3rdGen spouted off in response to your long L03 postings and said 'If TBI is so good, why don't you write a book about it!?' and you responded 'I did.', well, I was ROTFLMAO.    Until I followed  the URL that you posted later and found out you were dead serious on having written a book on the aspects of TBI performance, or at least what amounts to a small book!  I'm truly surprised that you have not tried to publish this material before!   Better yet, let's keep it a secret, we wouldn't want those TPI guys knowing that we really could make our engines perform, now would we?  Keep up the great work!   I'll be careful who I use the line 'Why don't you write a book about it?' on in the future.  You never know...  Someone, like you, may have done just that!   hehehehe!  Too much!"         -Dave89RS

"I am THERE, MAN!  I am so totally there beside you on what you say, it's scary!"    - Doug Pinehurst

"I can't begin to tell you how much I've learned from your site!    I thought I was going to have to switch from my TBI to tuned port to get any kind of performance, or go to a carb like on my 2ndGen Z28 ...  Thanks for putting all of this information up on the web so that others like myself might be able to access it!"         -91REDBIRD

"I read your rules and the history on the Formula and I must say I agree with you completely!! I have this urge to put it to those mustang boys and see the look on their face when I tell them its the 305...  hehe.  If you haven't already, check out the www.fbodygathering.com . I'm going to be there and personally I would to like to have someone of your knowledge with the 305 on hand, as Im sure others would as well. "        -Gavion

"Hey! Today I began researching the idea of replacing the cam in my LO3... and just a few hours ago stumbled upon your SPO page. Let me start off by giving you a really loud applaud! You did such a killer job explaining everything! I mean normally I'll find a page like yours and skim through till I find the info I'm looking for, but not with yours. The way you wrote it was so incredibly detailed and funny and just well written that I was amazed it hadn't been previously published... and ultimately read the entire page! You just don't get the analogies and transitions, like your articles, from an average redneck mechanic. I'm thoroughly impressed!!!"          -BigBird700

"Great site!!! Entertaining and informative ..."          -Paul Berry

"I just wanted to write to say that I'm very impressed."          -Jonathon Merker

"I was reading the articles on your website and was quite impressed.   Over the next few years, I'd like to make a lot of the modifications you mentioned to my car, but it will still be my daily driver."     -Jeffery Adams

"i dig the site,I feel that u R on track here,I got a batman 91 fbird base. I got q's man."         -George Shaw

"...and i thought i was the only strange one out there!  Great site!!!  Entertaining and informative ..  I have had the idea to do some of the same things you talk about in your 305 TBI buildup.  I have a few ideas / questions / ramblings that I would like your opinion on ..."          -Paul Berry

"I WANT TO DO THIS MAN!  I WANT TO TAKE THOSE UNAERODYNAMIC RUSTANGS!"         -Austin AKA Tallboy

"Long reign Black Echo, Patron Saint of Throttle Body Injection!"         -Andrew Forsythe

"I had a old hood scoop setup from a '83 TA just sitting around gathering dust.  I'm a TPI guy, and I don't know why I still had this thing in my garage, but once you posted your article on how to use this on a TBI powered car, I got to thinking...   You know, I could sell this thing to some TBI guy.  I put an ad up on 3rdGen and mentioned that you could go to Black Echo's site and find out how to install it on your TBI car.  Well, the scoop went in less than three hours!   The guy who bought it said he had seen Black Echo's article on how to equip his Formula TBI with this setup and he wanted one NOW!  Just passing this along, thought it might make your day.  You apparently have good and thorough knowledge, and I respect your effort to bring TBI to a brighter image than it's had before.  Keep up the good work!"         -Scott Jones

"Dude!  Someone who actually used to own TPI cars and now chose to go TBI!  I gotta be dreaming!  Great site!   Not everyone can have a TPI car, it's about time those self righteous SOBs woke up and realized that just because my car doesn't have a TPI 5.0 or 5.7 in it, doesn't make it not a 3rdGen!  I've read Pablo's articles, and he says that he can whip a TPI with his TBI!  I'm there, man!   It's time TBI had a hero.  Looks like you're the man for that job!"         -Bobby Jackson AKA 89TBIFormula
